RE: SBWS Grand Tour?
I’m in. I’ll register for the Grand Tour today, and get the book. I’m totally fine with ~300mile days; not sure if I want to do ~600 mile days. And taking that much time in a row off is going to be an issue for me; being self-employed sucks.
What software are you using to plan the route?
I think some three day weekend type rides would be awesome; blow out of town early on a Friday, get to ‘H’, spend the night, come back up and do ‘I’, ‘J’, and the finish point on Sat., spend the night and then head back home on Sun.
Couple weeks later, go out and do S-O, out and back?
K-N some other weekend?

How to pass sportbikes... NOT
Came across this video on youtube; skip ahead to the 2:00 minute mark and go from there. The guy and his friend are complete tools. Dragging hard parts, passing on the outside of a corner, and crossing the double yellow.

That thing looks SWEEEEEET. Dang!
Let’s go for a ride, Vato and you can throw a leg over it. Just about to have the 600 mile service done, and after that… all bets are off. LOL

I’m back… and I’ve even got a new bike. It’s been so long since I’ve been on here that I think I’ve gone through two bikes…
Let’s see, I had the 929rr that I went full watercraft on, then the 2003 gixxer 1k, then the 2009 FZ-1, and now I’m on a 2014 Kawasaki Concourse.
Looking forward to getting back together with everyone (most everyone LOL).That post is so old, I already have a new bike. Brand new 2017 FZ-10. Wooohoooo

2017 Yamaha FZ-10 - funnest bike ever!
Just took delivery of my FZ-10, and it has honestly re-ignited my love of riding! Just passed 600 miles so now I can get the first service done and take it up above 7000 rpm. Can’t wait!

RE: Now - To The Cloud!
Hey Sean:
Thanks for taking the time to update stuff and take care of the site. I know that traffic hasn’t been great, but I’ll start promoting and maybe we can get some interest going again. At least for the NW folks, right?

Hey all
Last notice, and there’s no one on here yet, but thought I’d see if anyone’s going to be at Ava’s in Beaverton tonight. Carrie and I will be there if you’re available.

Doc Wong Riding Clinic
For you riders that may not be aware, there’s a free riders clinic put on by volunteers on the first Saturday of the month. It’s a great clinic with good people. Here’s the description from their website:
Join us for our next Rider Skills Clinic:“Each rider skills clinic starts out with a discussion about a monthly topic that can be found on our Sessions page. After the discussion, our ride leaders will guide you on a group ride to practice the skill covered during the clinic discussion. We take a mid-ride break to answer questions and finish by having lunch at a local establishment. Then you can practice the skill for the following month and return for the next clinic and a new topic.”

Real names vs pseudonyms
Given that Sean has rebuilt this forum with the hopes of bringing back the sense of community that we had before, I’d like to encourage everyone to use their real name rather than a nickname. Just my $.02
(maybe there’s a way to do both?)

RE: Pueblo Motorsports Park with my Gyrocam
Looks like fun!! If I’m reading the speedo right, you’re doing about 155 down the front straight?

Scorpion GT-3000 helmet
I recently purchased a Scorpion GT-3000 helmet, and pretty happy with it so far. Nice fit and finish, pretty quiet (but I ride with earplugs, so…), and it already comes with cutouts and other features to mount a communication unit. I’ve got a Sena SMH-10 that I installed, and it fits perfectly. Haven’t made a phone call with it yet, but the music and other audio seems to be coming across just fine. The helmet also features a drop down sun visor, permanent anti-fog and easily removable liner so you can wash it. For half the price of the Shoei NeoTec, I’m pretty happy with it.
